Prof. Jochen Walz completed his medical school from University of Mainz, Germany and his residency from University of Hamburg, Germany and Marseille in France. He was a research fellow at the Cancer Prognostics and Health Outcomes Unit at the University of Montréal, Canada. He is a board certified Urologist and Fellow of the European Board of Urology. Prof. Walz completed his Master of Arts in Management of Health Care Institutions and MD. He is currently the Head of Urology in the Institut Paoli-Calmettes Cancer Centre. He is also the Chairman of EAU Section of Urological Imaging (ESUI). His main activity is Urooncology.

Prof. Walz’s research interests are Imaging in Urology, Minimal invasive surgery and Prostate cancer (Imaging and Diagnosis, Prediction tools, Life expectancy and Surgical treatment).

Prof Walz also holds memberships in various associations including American Urological Association (AUA), European Association of Urology (EAU), Deutsche Gesellschaft für Urologie (DGU; German Urological Association), EAU Section of Urological Imaging (ESUI), EAU guidelines panel, German working group of urological imaging of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Urologie, ESU faculty and ESTRO faculty
